Ham and Potato Soup

Ingredients:
- 3.5 c peeled & diced potatos- 1/3 c diced celery
- 1/3 c finely chopped onion
- 3/4 c diced cooked ham
- 3 1/4 c water
- 2 T chicken bouillon granules
- 1/2 t salt or to taste
- 1 t ground pepper or to taste
- 5 T butter
- 5 T all purpose flour
- 2 c milk
Directions:
1 - - Do all of your chopping2 - - Combine potatoes, celery, onion, ham, and water into a stockpot.
3 - - Bring to boil then cook over medium heat until potatoes are tender, about 15 min.
4 - - Stir in chicken bouillon, salt, and pepper
5 - - In separate saucepan, melt butter over med-low heat. Whisk in flour with a fork & cook, stirring constantly until thick, about 1 minute.
6 - - Slowly stir milk into the butter/flour mix as not to allow lumps to form until all milk is added. Continue stirring over med-low heat until thick, about 4-5 minutes
7 - - Stir the milk mixture into the stockpot and cook soup until heated through.
8 - - Serve immediately
Notes:
Truly yummy! You can add additional amts of ham, onions or add in carrots, crumble cooked bacon on top, etc.A good crusty bread goes well with it.
